![]() ![]() Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is a military-themed character development program offered to help high school students develop their capacity for citizenship, leadership, character building and service to the community. Part of the day also included a competition between seniors and Raiders, who are an adventure training group. West Point Cadets train on this same course. Once a year, JROTC visits West Point to introduce Leadership, Education and Training (LET) students to these important leadership and communication skills which are needed for success. The leader was evaluated on his/her leadership style, communications skills, control of his/her team and the ability to make sound decision. At each station, the in-charge team leader explained the challenge, detailing the required standards, requirements and obstacles. Each station featured an obstacle that needed to be successfully negotiated. ![]() Students took on challenges at 13 different stations throughout the day. Military Academy at West Point, giving them an opportunity to further refine teamwork and communication skills while growing overall team pride and fellowship.
